How to use it

Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The audio is analysed and the video re-edited by your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
How does it know where the pauses are?
It measures the volume every 20 milliseconds and compares the quietest parts with the parts where you speak. Pauses longer than the chosen level are removed, keeping a small margin before and after the words.
Does it work with background music?
It works best with speech only. With loud music underneath, pauses are harder to spot: choose “A lot” or first use “Clean up the voice” to lower the music.
What quality is the video?
The pictures are re-encoded at a quality similar to the original and the audio is copied as it is, without loss. The result is an MP4 that opens anywhere.
