Compress and convert images

Lighter photos in JPG, WebP or PNG, many at once, in a single ZIP.

Your photo stays on your device: nothing is uploaded
1 · Your photos
2 · Format and quality
80

JPG works everywhere. WebP is lighter at the same quality (not every social network accepts it). PNG is lossless but heavier: quality doesn't apply. Quality 75–85 usually looks the same as the original.

3 · Longest side (pixels)

Making the photo smaller is the most effective way to cut its weight: Instagram uses at most 1080 px wide, Facebook and X about 2048.

Photos

Add your photos: you can pick up to 200 at once. They stay on your device.

Photos are processed in your browser and never uploaded anywhere. Re-processing them also removes hidden data such as GPS location.

How to use it

Phone photos often weigh 3–8 MB: too much for a website, an email or a listing, and social networks recompress them their own way anyway. Here you choose format, quality and size once and apply them to all your photos together. You see right away how much each photo weighs before and after, and download everything in one ZIP.

  1. Choose or drag your photos, even many at once (up to 200).
  2. Choose the format, quality and, if needed, the maximum size.
  3. Press “Compress all”, then download the photos one by one or all in the ZIP.

FAQ

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. They're processed by your browser, one or a few at a time so memory doesn't run out, and they never leave your device.

What quality should I choose?

For social media and the web, 75–85 is a good balance: the difference from the original usually isn't visible and the file is much lighter. Below 60 blocky artifacts start to show.

Which formats can I use?

Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame only) and, if your browser can open them, HEIC and AVIF. iPhone HEIC photos always open in Safari. Output: JPG, WebP or PNG. With “Same”, each photo keeps its format and HEIC photos become JPG.

Are there limits?

Up to 200 photos at a time and 80 MB per photo. Very large photos on phones with little memory may fail: in that case pick a maximum size, for example 1920.

Is hidden data removed too?

Yes: re-processing the photo drops GPS location, phone model and date. The exception is a photo that was already light and stays as it was. To see and remove only the data, without recompressing, use the “Remove location and hidden data” tool.
